The Shift in Online Conversations: June 15-19

The Elecurator team has shifted to a weekly analysis of online conversations in order to document the ever-changing topics that people are discussing on Twitter and other social media sources. For the week of June 15 through June 19, below are the topics that dominated conversations. One major point to notice was the near absence of any discussions of the pandemic or its fallout on jobs and the economy.

Third Strand Stories

  • Calls to make China pay for costs of the pandemic

  • Fake kids video in Trump’s Tweet

  • Trump walking down the ramp at West Point graduation

Major Headlines

  • Trump firing SDNY attorney

  • John Bolton book

  • Supreme Court ruling on DACA

  • Trump Executive Order on police reform

  • Biden lead in state polls

No Bread and Butter Issues
